Donna Lively CLARK
Violist, was a full scholarship student of the renowned William Primrose at Indiana University School of Music and has also studied with William Lincer, Georges Janzer, and Alan de Veritch. A Bachelor of Music Educatiion from Indiana University was followed by a Master of Music in Viola Performance from Butler University. An active and well-known teacher and clinician, she has served on the faculties of Indiana University, Ball State University, and Butler University and as the artist violin/viola teacher for the Performing Arts Magnet at Broad Ripple High School, the Viola School, and the Carmel Conservatory of Music. Other significant teaching appointments include the Viola Camp at Pepperdine University, Malibu CA; the National String Workshop at University of Wisconsin, Madison; Franklin Pond Chamber Music, Atlanta GA; and Ecole Saint Trinite, Port au Prince, Haiti. In August of 2006 she performed at the Bellingham Music Festival, WA. A 2001 Creative Renewal Fellowship led to research, performances, and a CD project in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The CD, entitled "Una Viola Portena", is a tribute to the "Heart and Soul of Argentina". An earlier jazz collaboration resulted in two CD's; "Dancin' with Bird" (featuring the Lockerbie String Quartet) and "Erosonata" (featuring solo viola).
