Sebastián Fernando ZAMBRANA

Guitarrista y compositor argentino.

Estudié guitarra con Hector Farias , Horacio Ceballos y Jorge Matrinez Zarate, en el conservatorio Prov. J J Castro La Lucila, y armonía, música antigua, improvisación jazz y música de cámara. Estudié orquestación con el maestro Jose Carli y dirección orquestal con Jorge Fontenla y Edgar Ferrer.
Colaborador y arreglador de la orquesta del conservatorio de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires "Astor Piazzolla".

Algunas partituras de mi musica estan editadas en Margaux Edition. Berlin.

2 cds con "las manos de filippi" y "agrupacion mamanis" y cds con composiciones propias "Piezas con Ventanas"1999, "Tangos Viejos Milongas Nuevas" 2002, y "Una Viola Porteña" 2003 junto a Donna Clark EEUU. "Mil Años" 2006 para guitarra e invitados.

He dado Charlas, clases y conciertos en Francia , Alemania, España, Suecia, EEUU, Chile, Uruguay, Bolivia y a lo largo de la Argentina tocando mi musica, musica de camara , grupos de tango, rock, jazz.

En marzo 2007 dirigí y escribí la "Milonga con Ventanas para Orquesta" con la orquesta Sinfonica Municipal de Avellaneda . En abril 2008 dirigí la misma orquesta música de Mozart y en 2008 estrene "Central Park" para 2 guitarras y orquesta junto a la orquesta del conservatorio de la ciudad de Bs As "Astor Piazzolla" bajo la dirección de Edgar Ferrer.

Docente en el Conservatorio J. Jose Castro, Conservatorio de Ciudad de Bs As "Astor Piazzolla" y Emba (escuela de musica de Bs As). Coorganizador de los 3 Campus de guitarra Contemporanea en San Marcos Sierras-Cordoba, Villa Tulumba-Cordoba y en Mar del Plata.
Escribi musica para guitarra, grupos de camara, orquesta, danza contemporanea, documentales, cortos y titeres.

Tuve la alegria de tocar con musicos como Juan Mono Fontana, Carlo Domeniconi, Ricardo Moyano, Quique Sinesi , Oliver Nelson Jr, JJ Jhonson Jr, John Stowell, Abel Patrone, Sergio Bulgakov, Quena Taborda, Jurgen Schwengklenks, Ale y Cesar Franov, Jose Saluzzi y muchos otros.

Donna Lively CLARK

Violist, was a full scholarship student of the renowned William Primrose at Indiana University School of Music and has also studied with William Lincer, Georges Janzer, and Alan de Veritch. A Bachelor of Music Educatiion from Indiana University was followed by a Master of Music in Viola Performance from Butler University. An active and well-known teacher and clinician, she has served on the faculties of Indiana University, Ball State University, and Butler University and as the artist violin/viola teacher for the Performing Arts Magnet at Broad Ripple High School, the Viola School, and the Carmel Conservatory of Music. Other significant teaching appointments include the Viola Camp at Pepperdine University, Malibu CA; the National String Workshop at University of Wisconsin, Madison; Franklin Pond Chamber Music, Atlanta GA; and Ecole Saint Trinite, Port au Prince, Haiti. In August of 2006 she performed at the Bellingham Music Festival, WA. A 2001 Creative Renewal Fellowship led to research, performances, and a CD project in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The CD, entitled "Una Viola Portena", is a tribute to the "Heart and Soul of Argentina". An earlier jazz collaboration resulted in two CD's; "Dancin' with Bird" (featuring the Lockerbie String Quartet) and "Erosonata" (featuring solo viola).

Duo CRIOLLO

Duo Criollo,
Donna Lively Clark and
Sebastián Zambrana

Duo Criollo was established in March of 2002 in Buenos Aires during Donna Clark's first visit to Argentina. The creation of this international duo team is a result of the research, travels, and commissions made possible through the Creative Renewal Fellowship awarded to Donna Clark by the Arts Council of Indianapolis and funded by the Lilly Endowment. Duo Criollo specializes in music native to Argentina. Their concerts include original compositions by Mr. Zambrana, music of Astor Piazzolla, new compositions for viola and guitar by other Argentine composers, and traditional tangos. In July and August of 2002, Duo Criollo performed it's inaugural concerts in Buenos Aires and on Radio National of Argentina. This was followed by a South American and US tour in 2003 and another US tour in 2004 including a New York debut concert. (See review below.) The duo is featured on a CD recently released by Centaur Records called "Una Viola Porteña". Duo Criollo is available for high powered formal concerts when Mr. Zambrana travels to the US to concertize.
